Meet Emily: The Newest Face Behind the Scenes at Fortis

If you've been around Fortis for a while, you know we're pretty particular about how we do things.

We don't want you to feel like patient #47 being shuffled through a system. We want you to know who you're talking to, feel comfortable asking questions, understand what's happening, and actually feel like there are real humans on the other side of the phone.

As Fortis grows, keeping that experience personal takes more than great physical therapists.

Enter Emily Rasinski.

Emily is our new Client Experience & Operations Assistant, which is basically our way of saying she's helping us keep all the things running behind the scenes while making sure the people in front of us still feel like people.

Meet Emily: The Newest Face Behind the Scenes at Fortis Physical Therapy and Pelvic Health Greenville SC

So, What Exactly Does Emily Do?

A little bit of everything. And we're only kind of kidding.

Emily brings experience in project management, customer service, client relations, social media marketing, and maternal support. At Fortis, she's putting all of that to work helping with client communication, keeping our day-to-day systems organized, creating content, and building stronger relationships throughout the Upstate community.

Because here's something we've learned as we've grown:

The experience you have with a physical therapy practice isn't only about what happens during your appointment.

It starts before you ever walk through our door.

The Behind-the-Scenes Stuff Actually Matters

Think about the last time you tried to schedule a healthcare appointment.

Did you know who you were talking to? Did you get an actual answer to your question? Did you understand what was going to happen next? Or did you leave a voicemail, cross your fingers, and hope someone eventually called you back?

Exactly.

We don't want Fortis to feel like that.

Whether you're coming to us for pelvic floor therapy, postpartum recovery, orthopedic physical therapy, pain, or something you've been quietly Googling for the last six months, reaching out for help can already feel like a big step.

You shouldn't have to fight through a frustrating process once you finally decide to do it.

Emily helps us make sure you don't.

Growing Without Becoming "That" Healthcare Office

As Fortis grows, we don't want to lose the things that made us Fortis in the first place.

We want to know our patients. We want you to feel comfortable asking the weird question. We want someone paying attention when something falls through the cracks. We want the experience outside of the treatment room to match the level of care happening inside it.

Having Emily here gives our therapists more space to focus on treating patients while knowing someone is paying attention to all of those other details.

That matters more than it probably sounds like it does.

She's Also Helping Us Talk About the Stuff Nobody Talks About

Emily is also helping us create social media content and build relationships throughout the Greenville and Upstate community.

That's especially important in pelvic health because, let's be real, there are still a lot of symptoms people assume they're just supposed to live with.

Leaking when you run.

Pelvic pressure after having a baby.

Pain with intimacy.

Going to the bathroom every 30 minutes.

That weird hip pain that refuses to leave.

Sometimes seeing the right post or hearing someone finally talk about what you're experiencing is what makes you realize, wait...maybe I should actually get this checked out.

We want to keep having those conversations, and Emily is helping us do more of that.

Okay, But Who Is Emily When She's Not at Fortis?

Emily's world revolves around her husband, daughter, and two dogs.

She’s also a big fan of staying connected throughout the Upstate, teaching herself new hobbies, trying new recipes, getting lost in one of her many books, and looking for the bright side when the day inevitably goes a little sideways.

So yes, she'll fit in just fine around here.

Why We're Excited to Have Her

Emily cares about people.

That sounds simple, but it's probably the most important qualification for this role.

She wants people to feel welcomed, understood, and connected to the resources they need. And when you're building a physical therapy practice where people regularly trust you with things that can feel vulnerable, frustrating, uncomfortable, or just plain awkward to talk about, that matters.

We're really excited to have her at Fortis.

So if you get an email from Emily, see her pop up on our social media, or meet her somewhere around Greenville, say hi.

If you've been lurking around our website wondering whether it's finally time to ask someone about that thing you've been dealing with?

You can start with us. We'll figure it out together.
